Internship Private Equity (m/f/d) | B2B Software & AI

AI is a core element of our investment thesis, our due diligence approach, and our day-to-day work with our portfolio companies.

• Support the analysis of investment opportunities, building of financial models, company valuations, and due diligence processes – leveraging AI tools to accelerate research and evaluation
• Conduct trend, market, and competitive analyses with active use of AI tools – including critical validation of results
• Prepare investment memos and presentations for the investment team
• Support our portfolio companies from a fund perspective (e.g. dashboards, KPI analyses, financial modelling) and contribute to the development of value creation strategies – with a particular focus on product-, tech-, and AI-related levers
• Contribute to internal initiatives that further develop our AI-native investment workflow (tooling, prompts, playbooks)
• Work closely with the investment team and other functions

• You are currently pursuing a Master's degree in Business Administration / Economics, Finance, Industrial Engineering, Software / AI Engineering, or a comparable field of study
• You have first practical experience in Investment Banking / M&A, Private Equity, Management Consulting, or a fast-growing tech or start-up environment with a demonstrable AI-builder track record
• You quickly familiarize yourself with new industries and technologies, think entrepreneurially, and bring genuine curiosity about how AI is reshaping markets and companies
• You have a solid grasp of SaaS metrics, product architecture, and tech stacks; you can assess product quality, roadmap plausibility, and technical risk; and you are comfortable reviewing product demos and technical documentation in a DD context
• You are analytical, structured, and self-directed – with strong curiosity and an ownership mindset that drives topics through to full completion
• You use AI tools systematically across research, analysis, and documentation – while understanding their limits and critically validating outputs
• You have very good MS Office skills (especially Excel and PowerPoint) and first experience with financial models
• You speak fluent German and English
